Expanding Access: The PanamÁ Mission

Panamá OESTE PROVINCE, Panamá

First Kick Clinic: May 2025

In May 2025, The Global Keeper’s journey continued to the Panamá Oeste Province. At the Panamá Las Margaritas School, Global Soccer Access celebrated our second major First Kick event, furthering our commitment to defending the gap in sports equity across Central America.

During his travels across Panamá, Victor witnessed a stark reality: in many local villages, the only "futbols" available were weathered, second-hand, or even third-hand balls. Despite their poor condition, these used balls often cost $5.00 USD or more—a price far out of reach for parents struggling to feed their families on very small budgets.

Understanding that a ball is the fundamental key to unlocking a child’s potential, we donated around 100 brand-new soccer balls and pumps to the students of Las Margaritas. By providing a high-quality, new ball along with the means to keep it inflated, GSA delivered a priceless gift of empowerment. This mission helps cultivate a culture of teamwork, discipline, and healthy competition, ensuring that a child’s economic circumstances are no longer a barrier to the life-changing lessons of the pitch.

This mission in Panamá reinforces our belief that every child deserves a fair shot. Whether on a mountainside in Guatemala or in a classroom in Panamá Oeste, GSA stands ready to equip the next generation, one community at a time.
